I first decided to become an acupuncturist while I was at university, after having received thousands of treatments myself to recover from a severe slipped disc.
Following my graduation from a three-year school for acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), came to think that I would like to go abroad and experience different life styles and ways of thinking. Acting upon this, I went to England for two years to work in an acupuncture clinic in London.
While there, I first encountered “Rolfing®“ (a treatment method which works on connective tissues to align the posture and correct bodily imbalances.) I was so surprised and impressed by this technique that I decided to undergo intensive training in it in Munich.
After returning to Japan, I worked for the Kosai Oriental Healthcare Center and established my own treatment style which is a combination of acupuncture and Rolfing®.
My Treatment Philosophy
In the more than 15 years I have been a professional practitioner,
I have treated a wide variety of patients.
This has led me to think deeply about what good health really means,
and the kinds of treatment that can help achieve it.
[Cure]My first goal is to cure my patients properly,
and to heal their pain, ailment or disorder.
[Correction]My next aim is to work with my patients to help them correct bad posture
and other physical habits which caused the problems in the first place.
I have found that acupuncture is more effective for the cure of my patients’ problems,
while Rolfing® is better for the correction of the underlying causes.
The combination of acupuncture and Rolfing® in my treatment
can be like a pair of legs or a set of wheels that work together to effect both a cure
to the patient’s immediate problem,
and the changes in their daily life that can help prevent it from returning.
